Chapter 7: Lightly Pressing, Slowly Twisting, Stroking and Plucking Again

Lilinai knelt among the mountains and valleys of books, opening them one by one and sorting them into categories.

These books came in all sizes, some thick and some thin, their contents ranging from simple to profound. Though they looked numerous, the purple-haired girl moved quickly—back when she was still a noble, her family had cultivated her reading skills, and in terms of catalogue, the Witch’s study was no different from those outside. Lilinai could see many familiar works, some of which she had finished reading long ago, so sorting them wasn’t difficult.

“Then again, has she really finished reading this many books…?”

Lilinai muttered.

Every book here showed signs of having been leafed through.

She casually opened one; its contents were obscure and hard to follow.

Still, perhaps Airiya was all show and no substance?

Perhaps these books were only there to intimidate her from the outset. As for the woman herself, she might not even know their titles…

“That is 《Prophecy》, written by Ainiweiya.”

“Eek…!”

Lilinai’s delicate frame trembled.

At some point, Airiya had come up behind her.

The Witch rested her hands on her shoulders and pressed close, naturally and intimately.

“It’s a work of the ancient elves, the common-tongue translation published in 1345. It’s perfectly reasonable that Miss Lilinai can’t understand it~”

“Wh-what are you doing?”

Lilinai instinctively hunched her shoulders.

Airiya’s touch made her recall the “jostling” aboard that carriage.

“Didn’t you say you wanted me to organize the volumes…”

“Of course, that’s the work you ought to do as my slave.”

Airiya’s breath was as fragrant as orchids, its faint coolness making the base of Lilinai’s ears burn.

“However, your duties as a plaything can’t be neglected either. I should have told you about that point long ago.”

“Nnh…”

Lilinai forced the soft moan back down her throat.

The silk of her nightdress flowed like water along with Airiya’s movements.

To avoid revealing any more openings, Lilinai spoke in compromise.

“With you doing that, I can’t concentrate on my work…”

“Oh?”

Airiya gave an amused smile.

“Do you mean that outside of work, you acknowledge your identity as a plaything?”

“I-I do not!”

Lilinai hurriedly argued.

“It’s just that doing this distracts me…”

“If a mere touch is enough to affect you, doesn’t that show that Miss Lilinai’s will amounts to nothing much either?”

Lilinai’s body gave a violent shudder.

The Witch’s smile carried a careless cruelty.

“Didn’t Miss Lilinai say she wouldn’t submit? Then prove it to me—putting one’s oath into practice through actual deeds is exactly the Kaoenxier family’s style, isn’t it?~”

“Ngh—!”

Hearing her family name brought up here, Lilinai’s heart wavered fiercely for an instant.

But she quickly took a deep breath, bit her lip, and began leafing through the next book.

Fine, she accepted the challenge!

At worst, she’d just treat it as the Witch giving her a massage.

She was the noble only son of the Kaoenxier family! She wouldn’t have her emotions thrown into disarray by these petty tricks of Airiya’s…

That’s right, absolutely not!

“Hmph.”

Airiya, watching it all, only smiled scornfully.

She said nothing more, instead focusing on her own sensations.

Snuggling, snuggling.

“…”

For a while, the entire study fell silent.

Only the rustling of turning pages and the faint friction of fabric sounded from time to time.

The purple-haired girl knelt obediently, rearranging the scattered tomes one by one; while the white-haired girl was like an older sister, merely embracing the girl absorbed in her sorting from behind, saying nothing, savoring this tranquility.

If one ignored what she was doing to the girl, the scene was rather heartwarming.

“Mmh—!”

Suddenly.

Lilinai covered her mouth, suppressing a soft moan.

If her reflexes hadn’t been quick, that sudden move would surely have broken her.

“What’s the matter?” Airiya said with a wicked grin.

“Whew. It’s nothing…”

Lilinai calmed herself again.

She feigned complete indifference and picked up the next book once more.

She hadn’t reached her limit.

She could still endure.

Airiya wanted to humiliate her, wanted to make her admit that she was drowning in the Witch’s teasing.

But she had misjudged one thing.

Even though Lilinai had once been a pampered noble, she was also a warrior who had struggled for years amid blades and blood.

That period had honed her patience and made her will all the more resolute.

So what if it was a girl’s body?

Don’t underestimate her conviction, damn it!

“Heh~”

Seeing that her surprise attack had failed to break the girl, the smile on the Witch’s face deepened.

She was starting to grow curious: just how long could Lilinai hold out?

“Keep sorting.”

“Hmph… mm…”

Lightly pressing, slowly twisting, stroking and plucking again, first brushing the long hair, then past the waist.

In the tranquil study, the girls concentrated on their respective tasks.

As time slowly passed—

Fine sweat gradually seeped from Lilinai’s forehead.

A trace of red slowly spread across her cheeks.

It was hard to imagine.

The windows were all open, so how could the room be this hot?

To dispel this unease, she couldn’t help squirming, and this did not escape the Witch’s eyes.

“Now what’s wrong?” Airiya asked, knowing full well. “Is sitting so long uncomfortable?”

“N-nothing. My legs have just gone numb.”

Lilinai forcibly restrained herself, closing her eyes and murmuring in a low voice.

Though that was what she said, her hands trembled like a sieve.

“Then shall we continue?”

“…Mm.”

Lilinai wiped away her sweat and continued examining the volumes before her.

The original small mountain had now been sorted down to a mere handful of books.

Just a bit more effort—if she could hold out through these last few books, she could prove to the Witch that she wouldn’t submit so easily!

“Khh, mm…”

She covered her mouth, keeping her emotions from spilling out between her fingers.

Her pink-white toes pressed hard against the floor, and a film of mist clouded her amber pupils.

But at the same time.

Her movements in sorting the volumes grew ever more practiced, and her speed grew ever faster.

At last, just as her endurance was about to run out, the final book was categorized as well.

“Whew—”

She let out a long breath, pressed a hand to her chest, her eyelashes trembling faintly.

Thank goodness…

She’d done it!

Right to the very end, she had held firm to her conviction!

“Mm—I must say, Miss Lilinai’s work deserves praise.”

As though acknowledging the girl’s efforts, Airiya withdrew both hands.

She briefly leafed through the volumes that had been sorted, then nodded in satisfaction.

“I’m very satisfied with Miss Lilinai’s efficiency. The book classifications are all correct, and you even sorted quite a few books on magic studies. Mm… for a good child, it would hardly be right not to give some sort of reward~”

“A reward?”

Lilinai turned her head in puzzlement, having no idea what this Witch was scheming.

But she couldn’t be bothered to guess Airiya’s thoughts, nor did she have the time to. Airiya had briefly stopped putting her hands all over her, and she wanted to take this chance to let her body relax as quickly as possible.

“That’s right.”

Airiya said with a smile.

“It’s a reward that will make Miss Lilinai feel very good.”

“Uwaah—!”

Just as it had been in the carriage.

With one light push from Airiya, Lilinai was sent sprawling onto the floor.

As for the Witch herself, she came around behind the girl and licked her fingertips with ill intent.
