Ch. 245 Sword God From The Ruined World

“Hmm. It’s been a while.”

A giant man standing in a spacious room decorated in black and white tones recalled old memories.

“About 90 years, I suppose?”

As if remembering something from long ago, he ignored the empty seats and walked behind a chair that was already occupied.

“Move aside. This was my seat back then too.”

The person sitting in the chair leaned back and grinned.

“Cut the crap.”

In contrast to the giant man, this pale-faced man of average build looked rebellious as he told him to get lost while chuckling.

“Vampica. This has been my seat since 90 years ago. Move.”

The man called Vampica continued smiling as he slowly raised his right hand.

“Oh! Was it? In that case…”

He stuck out his middle finger and continued:

“Fuck off.”

Despite the polite request, the giant man couldn’t tolerate Vampica’s insult any longer and raised his fist.

“Your rude habits haven’t changed since back then!”

He swung his fist straight at Vampica’s face, but—

BAT-BAT-BAT-BAT!

Black bats suddenly appeared, blocking the fist before swarming over his arm.

The giant man clicked his tongue at the bats trying to bite him, then slightly twisted his arm.

Space distorted around his arm as—

POOF-POOF-POOF!

The bats instantly turned to dust and scattered.

Simultaneously, Vampica’s leg sliced through space and struck the giant man’s chest.

BANG!

“…Vampica, are you picking a fight?”

The giant man stepped back from the impact, frowning as he prepared to seriously throw punches.

“Allekuhi! Since you arrived late and lost your seat, stop making a scene and sit in an empty chair.”

A transparent skeletal figure made of glass-like gemstones flashed green eyes and snapped at the giant man.

“Luam, this was my seat 90 years ago…”

“Then you should have been sitting here guarding it for 90 years. Why are you making a fuss after arriving late?”

Vampica’s retort made Luam stare at Allekuhi as if asking what was wrong with that logic.

“…Tch.”

With no other choice, Allekuhi plopped down in an empty chair as Vampica giggled.

“I’ll visit your planet Iostem sometime.”

At Allekuhi’s declaration to visit his planet, Vampica wiggled his middle finger as if looking forward to it.

Five individuals sat around the square table:

Vampica, Allekuhi, Luam, an expressionless handsome man in black armor, and a dark-skinned elf woman radiating light.

“Now that everyone’s here…”

“What about Bypiens?”

Luam shook his head at Allekuhi’s question.

“Bypiens couldn’t be contacted. He won’t be coming.”

“Still traveling between dimensions?”

When Luam nodded instead of answering, Allekuhi also fell silent.

“It’s been so long since we all gathered like this. So, why did you call us here?”

Vampica asked while gulping down a steaming red liquid.

The Six Seats.

Gathering the Six Seats who rarely assembled meant something significant had occurred.

Though one member, Bypiens, was absent, no one questioned it.

Luam’s green eyes scanned each person before speaking:

“You’ve all heard that over 21 of Lord Barhaut’s Guardian Planets have been liberated…”

“We heard, but it makes no sense. Who would dare do such a thing?”

When Vampica interrupted, Luam’s eyes twitched.

“Humans from Earth are reportedly involved. Along with Half-Dragons, Death Knights, and others.”

“Earth?”

Those weaklings from that pathetic planet liberated Guardian Planets that Barhaut poured his heart into creating?

“And there are humans on Earth capable of summoning Half-Dragons and Death Knights?”

Vampica’s disbelief was palpable as he stared at Luam.

“As I said, humans from Earth are only part of the group. The important thing is they liberated Guardian Planets…and killed the brats.”

“Wait? The brats? You mean the Himaid siblings?”

When Allekuhi sought confirmation, Luam nodded, shocking everyone at the table.

“The Himaid siblings are dead? Who confirmed this?”

The deep voice came from the expressionless handsome man, Gettis.

“Rebley reported it.”

“That dwarf?”

“He said they’ve invaded Bartloma now.”

“What?!”

Though Luam delivered this calmly, it was no trivial matter.

“If they killed the Himaid siblings, that means they have a Transcendent among them. You think that dwarf can stop him?”

“He can’t.”

“Then why are we sitting here?”

Vampica showed no urgency, treating it like someone else’s problem.

“Even if we knew, it’s likely too late now.”

Vampica just clicked his tongue at Luam’s words.

“So we’ll no longer see the infinite monster legion—Barhaut’s most loyal servants and absolute force in planetary conquest? How tragic.”

Luam’s eyes twisted at Vampica’s sarcastic tone.

“Then it’s obvious why we’re here. You want us to eliminate them?”

At Allekuhi’s question, Luam nodded.

“Lord Barhaut wishes—”

“Then count me out. I’m busy these days. Got some headaches to deal with.”

Vampica stood up.

“Vampica, sit down.”

Luam’s cold voice didn’t faze Vampica.

“Or what? You’ll force me?”

As Vampica provocatively challenged him, Luam’s green eyes flared violently.

SLAM!

Allekuhi pounded the table during the tense standoff.

“I’ll do it.”

At this, Vampica said he’d await good news before his body swirled away like a vortex.

Luam clenched his fist at Vampica’s departure.

“It seems Vampica no longer cares about the Six Seats.”

The others remained silent.

“Though they were brats, killing the Himaid siblings means they have a Transcendent and supporters. I’ll join this mission.”

Luam nodded gratefully at Gettis’s offer.

“I could handle it alone…”

Allekuhi muttered, displeased by Gettis’s involvement.

But Luam firmly shook his head.

“Lord Barhaut demands perfection this time. That’s why I’m participating too.”

“Luam, you too?”

Allekuhi regretted volunteering.

“Ratio, what about you?”

The dark elf Ratio, who hadn’t spoken until now, nodded after brief consideration.

“Working together after so long could be fun.”

With Ratio joining, Allekuhi sighed.

“Fun? It’ll be over before it starts.”

For Allekuhi, who had imagined an exciting fight against the Transcendent who killed the Himaid siblings, this was disappointing.

Cough! Cough! Keuk…

Rebley lay in a pool of his own blood, looking up at Seo Do-jun while coughing up blood and laughing weakly.

Though dwarves were said to lack combat ability, Rebley couldn’t resist at all against Seo Do-jun.

For someone called Monster Legion Commander and Barhaut’s right hand, he looked pitiful.

“Stupid dwarf bastard! If you had just cooperated… cough!”

Nearby, Rixis lay mangled and broken.

“I have one request…” Rebley said to Seo Do-jun.

“Request?”

“Crush that traitorous idiot’s skull first! Keukekeke!”

Rixis twitched at this and screamed with all his strength:

“You damn dwarf!”

When Rixis threatened to kill Rebley first, Seo Do-jun kicked his head to silence him.

Ignoring Rixis’s pained groans, Seo Do-jun asked Rebley:

“Then my final question. Do any dimensional portals to Earth still exist?”

He expected no answer—just more mockery.

“Some remain, but I don’t know for how long.”

Surprised by Rebley’s cooperation, Seo Do-jun pressed:

“Where?”

“Kill him first, then I’ll tell you.”

Rebley insisted on seeing Rixis die. Seo Do-jun nodded and turned.

Ghk… D-don’t trust him! That cunning dwarf! I can find those portals too!

In pain, Rixis desperately shouted as Seo Do-jun approached.

“W-wait! I helped you! I led you to him!”

Seo Do-jun drew a sword from subspace without hesitation.

“I appreciate that.”

“P-please spare…!”

SWISH!

Seo Do-jun’s sword cleanly severed Rixis’s head mid-plea.

“Kekekeke! Serves him right!”

Rebley laughed heartily at Rixis’s death.

“Where’s the dimensional portal?”

“Spare me, and I’ll tell you.”

Seo Do-jun clicked his tongue—he’d expected this.

“Kekeke! By now, Earth is becoming a wasteland overrun by monsters! Most people you knew have died horribly! KHAHAHA!”

Rebley taunted, but Seo Do-jun remained calm.

“No matter how much you rant, I won’t kill you yet.”

He put away his sword and took out two spears made from One-Horned Kowabirus.

“I know all dimensional portals will close if you die.”

STAB! STAB!

He impaled both of Rebley’s shoulders with the spears.

“GRUUUUGH…!”

Rebley gritted his teeth against the pain.

Seo Do-jun tore part of Rebley’s clothes and stuffed them in his mouth to prevent suicide.

MMPH! MMM!

Rebley thrashed, but the spears through his shoulders only worsened his agony.

Right on cue, a communication came through:

[Seo Do-jun! We found multiple strange dimensional portals here!]

Hyun Joo-yeon’s voice reported.

“They must lead to Earth.”

Seo Do-jun observed Rebley’s bulging eyes.

[We’re coming now. Tell Shinjo to meet us there.]

[Understood!]

After ending the communication, Seo Do-jun lifted the spears piercing Rebley’s shoulders.

“GGGUUOOO!”

Rebley screamed as he dangled like meat on skewers. Unfazed, Seo Do-jun carried him out of the underground tunnels.
