SFRW-Chapter 228
by SbmjamCh. 228 Sword God From The Ruined World
“You’re saying you can jump across dozens of planetary dimensions?!”
Kusak grabbed Rahf by the collar, as if warning him not to spout nonsense.
“Say it again. If it’s bullshit, I’ll tear your mouth open!”
Despite being grabbed, Rahf kept smiling.
“And what if it’s not bullshit?”
“Then it’s real!”
Kusak had wanted to punch Rahf ever since they first met at the Papal Court. Without hesitation, he swung his fist.
THUD!
“…Ghk!”
“Do we look like idiots who’d fall for that crap?!”
BAM! BAM! BAM!
The more Kusak punched, the more Rahf groaned—yet his eyes and mouth still curved into a grin.
“Laughing? You think my punches are a joke?”
Enraged, Kusak rained down blows on Rahf’s face. Blood gushed from his nose and mouth, but Rahf never begged for mercy.
“Damn stubborn bastard!”
Disgusted by Rahf’s bloodied yet still-chuckling face, Kusak shoved him away.
Rahf, growling like a beast, spat out a mouthful of blood and wiped his face with his sleeve before turning to Seo Do-jun.
He knew exactly who the leader was.
“Promise me one thing, and I’ll open a dimensional passage for you.”
“A promise?”
Before Seo Do-jun could respond, Kusak shouted:
“Don’t trust him! Who knows what he’s planning? Just torture him until he opens the damn passage!”
Kusak wanted to show Rahf that Seo Do-jun’s torture skills were on another level.
Ignoring Kusak, Rahf spoke to Seo Do-jun.
“Let me join you. Then I’ll open as many passages as you want.”
“Join us? You mean—”
“Let me be part of killing that bastard Barhaut.”
Just moments ago, he was an enemy—now he wanted to be an ally?
Before Seo Do-jun could respond, Kusak yelled again.
“How do we even confirm you can open dimensional passages?”
“That’s something we can figure out later. The important thing is… you have no other options.”
Rahf was right.
“What if we force you to open one?”
“You could try. But what if it doesn’t work the first time? If the Pope blabs to Barhaut, future Dimensional Administrators might refuse to open passages. Worst case, Barhaut could shut them down entirely.”
“Shut them down?”
“He could revoke their abilities. Or assign watchers to prevent coercion. There are plenty of ways.”
Seo Do-jun’s expression darkened. Rahf wasn’t wrong.
If Barhaut blocked access, Seo Do-jun would have to scour countless dimensions just to find a way forward.
“If you can jump dimensions, why not open a passage straight to Barhaut?”
At Choi Kang-soo’s question, Rahf chuckled mockingly.
“How would you know where my passage leads? I could ‘reluctantly’ open one under your threats, only for you to end up… somewhere completely wrong. Heh.”
“Then we’ll drag you along!”
“And what if I kill myself?”
“Suicide? Bullshit!”
Choi Kang-soo’s face flushed red.
Forcing Rahf was too risky.
Seo Do-jun had no choice but to consider his offer.

With the Pope gone, Rahf was their only lead.
“Let me think about it.”
Seo Do-jun stepped back. Even Kusak, fuming, could only glare silently.
Rahf then called out to Choi Kang-soo.
“Hey. Heal me with holy power.”
“What?! Why the hell should I?!”
“We might be allies soon. Is a little healing too much to ask?”
“This bastard…”
Choi Kang-soo spat in disgust and turned away.
Rahf just laughed. “Cold-hearted, huh?”
The group gathered to discuss.
No one fully trusted Rahf, but they had no alternatives.
Grichuk broke the silence.
“His. Hatred. For. Barhaut. Is. Real.”
Having once been linked to Rahf’s mind, Grichuk knew the depth of his rage.
“If that’s true, a temporary alliance might work,” Hyun Joo-yeon suggested.
“We just need to watch him closely,” Gloria agreed.
But Kusak and Veronica remained skeptical.
“A guy like that always has ulterior motives!”
“If revenge was so easy, why’d he side with the Pope? He’s just switching sides because we’re winning!”
Shinjo, as always, deferred to Seo Do-jun.
Choi Kang-soo and Rakun reluctantly sided with accepting Rahf.
Koroka simply didn’t care.
The choice fell to Seo Do-jun.

“To open a dimensional passage, we need to charge this ring with massive magic,” Rahf explained.
“We can open one now, but it’s better to save it for emergencies.”
“How long before it fully charges?”
“About ten days for a stable long-distance passage.”
“Ten days?!”
The group groaned.
Seo Do-jun saw an opportunity.
While Rahf charged the ring, he would absorb the Dragon Heart.
Choi Kang-soo would refine the holy power from the Chimera core.
The others would rest and recover.
Then, Rahf pulled out a black diamond-shaped gem—’The Essence of the Black Knight’.
“This’ll enhance Grichuk’s abilities.”
Kusak immediately inspected it, suspicious.
“Temporary allies only. Don’t get cozy. And who knows if this is another control trick?”
Grichuk, however, recognized it.
“Not. A. Lie.”
He had absorbed a smaller one before.
Seo Do-jun ordered a magic circle for safe absorption.
Kusak and Rahf worked together to create three circles:
– One for Seo Do-jun (Dragon Heart).
– One for Choi Kang-soo (Holy Power Orb).
– One for Grichuk (Black Knight’s Essence).

With the Pope gone, Seraph prepared to leave.
“I must return to restore the Papal Court.”
Though she wished to join their revenge, her duty was to her world.
“I’ll pray daily for your success.”
Choi Kang-soo looked heartbroken.
“You’re really not coming?”
Seraph smiled sadly. “My place is here.”
As she walked away, Kusak teased Choi Kang-soo.
“Don’t worry. You’ll fall for another girl soon enough.”
“I’LL KILL YOU!”
***
That night, the three magic circles glowed.
Seo Do-jun, Choi Kang-soo, and Grichuk stepped inside—each ready to grow stronger for the battles ahead.
