Ch. 133 Sword God From The Ruined World

Kang Young-pyo revealed more information than expected.

“…I don’t know where he lives either. We teleport using magic circles… I’m telling the truth.”

With all defiance drained, Kang Young-pyo spilled everything he knew under Seo Do-jun’s interrogation.

Faced with primal agony, even Kang Young-pyo proved to be just another fragile human.

“Was it you who killed Hong Hee-ju? Using polymorph magic to disguise yourself?”

Seo Do-jun showed a photo of the prime suspect. Kang Young-pyo nodded obediently.

Having already confessed to using polymorph magic, denial would’ve been pointless.

After experiencing extreme pain from resistance, straightforward confession felt preferable.

“You must have more magic scrolls from Vaitel?”

When Kang Young-pyo hesitated, Seo Do-jun reached forward.

His hand seemed more terrifying than any monster’s, making Kang Young-pyo blurt out:

“Yes! There are more!”

“Where?”

“…In a subway locker.”

“Your evasive answers need correcting. Shall we continue?”

“Mapo Station! Locker 27B, code 4488!”

Kang Young-pyo provided exhaustive details about the location.

Casserian Guild members retrieved four magic scrolls, cash bundles, gold bars, and forged passports.

“Should we hand these to police?” Jung In-joo asked. Seo Do-jun approved.

Kang Young-pyo’s ‘interrogation’ had thoroughly destroyed his magic rod – an indescribably painful process.

The irreversible damage left him unable to use Hero abilities or even function normally.

Combined with his severed left arm, Kang Young-pyo was now a complete wreck.

“He confessed to Hong Hee-ju’s murder. With all this evidence, authorities will handle the rest.”

Jung In-joo shuddered at Seo Do-jun’s thoroughness.

‘He even prepared perfectly documented evidence files covering every detail.’

The overwhelming proof would hold up legally regardless of coercion claims.

Not that it mattered – no one would protect an international criminal like Kang Young-pyo.

Between T Group and W Group’s vengeance, his fate was sealed.

* * *

Kang Young-pyo’s case became instant headlines.

Amid global chaos from monster waves and rift zone lockdowns, his arrest still dominated South Korean news.

The revelation that this wanted criminal murdered Hong Hee-ju sparked national outrage.

Meanwhile, Heroes and officials received classified information about Vaitel.

The shocking truth that Gate explosions could be artificially triggered horrified everyone.

“Vaitel, you say?”

Hero Association Chairman Na Tae-hwang looked graver than ever.

“Yes.”

“What’s his goal? Why commit such atrocities?”

Seo Do-jun explained Vaitel’s objectives in detail.

Chairman Na Tae-hwang’s hands trembled uncontrollably as he drank water to calm himself.

“How…how do you know all this?”

While omitting his otherworldly origins, Seo Do-jun emphasized the critical point:

Humanity faced an existential threat.

“…What should we do?”

Seo Do-jun responded firmly:

“We must urgently establish an International Closure Bureau under the World Hero Association.”

With rift zones now affected by Rebley’s power, delay wasn’t an option.

“It won’t be easy…but necessary.”

Chairman Na Tae-hwang sounded determined.

The current crisis made previously impossible cooperation achievable.

“But what about Vaitel? Can he even be caught?”

“I have good bait.”

“Bait?”

Seo Do-jun sipped coffee without elaborating.

* * *

When Seo Do-jun revisited Kang Young-pyo in custody, the broken man looked utterly defeated.

His emaciated, lifeless appearance embodied karmic justice.

“…Why visit now?”

Kang Young-pyo’s hollow eyes asked what more could possibly remain between them.

“Thought you deserved one last chance.”

The word ‘last’ made Kang Young-pyo laugh weakly.

That simple term triggered endless ‘what ifs’:

If Kang Cheol-woo hadn’t accepted Hong Hee-ju’s Gate assassination request…

If he hadn’t taken over that contract…

If he hadn’t hired Takashi to kill Seo Do-jun…

Countless bad decisions had led here.

Yet Seo Do-jun spoke of ‘chances’?

“Give my regards then.”

Seo Do-jun stood to leave.

“Regards? To who?”

But Seo Do-jun exited without explanation, leaving Kang Young-pyo bewildered.

“Why even visit him?”

Hyun Joo-yeon couldn’t comprehend Seo Do-jun’s actions afterward.

“Everyone deserves final reckoning.”

“Final reckoning?”

“A last chance to repent.”

When she pressed further, Seo Do-jun changed subjects to T Group’s meeting requests, which he flatly refused.

Two days passed without rift zone access resolving.

No additional Heroes emerged like Seo Do-jun had.

“At least monster waves stopped?”

“Temporary relief! Without periodic culling, rift zones will overflow!”

The terrifying implication sank in – lockdowns were allowing unchecked monster proliferation.

Like ticking time bombs, each rift zone could erupt catastrophically.

Meanwhile, the World Hero Association moved decisively:

“Any objections to establishing International Closure Bureaus?”

Seventeen directors unanimously approved Chairman Na Tae-Hwang’s proposal.

BANG

The gavel formalized the International Closure Bureau system.

Endless logistical challenges remained – leadership selection, regional branches, operational protocols.

Most contentious was jurisdiction limits, with Hero-dense nations pushing for overseas authority.

Chairman Na Tae-hwang recalled Seo Do-jun’s advice:

“Each nation should handle its own Gates first, then assist others.”

This compromise prevailed – no country could intervene abroad before securing its own territory.

While bureaucrats debated, Seo Do-jun’s team kept closing Gates nonstop.

With rift zones inaccessible, preventing Gate explosions became paramount.

“Choi Kang-soo!”

“Present!”

The Closure Bureau’s newest recruit stood proudly in Mute’s armor.

After three days at the Vatican restoring holy energy, the sacred gear had chosen its partner – for the simplest reason:

『No easier fool to manipulate exists.』

Choi Kang-soo raised the holy sword dramatically:

“By the purifying light that cleanses all corruption! Omarsama Doikesma Katarmadatda! Yap yap!”

Blinding holy light healed monster-corrupted agents.

Though everyone cringed at the ridiculous chant (especially the ‘yap yap’), no one dared mock the undeniable results.

Even Choi Kang-soo had grown accustomed to the embarrassment.

『…Should we change ‘yap yap’ to ‘hoitza’?』

As the sentient sword pondered upgrades, Vaitel reappeared in Seoul.

His first act?

“Kang Young-pyo has disappeared from custody!”

Hearing this urgent report, Seo Do-jun simply smiled.
