Ch. 286 Sword God From The Ruined World

Crash—!

Seo Do-jun frowned as he looked at the arrow blocking his sword and the massive black scythe that had suddenly descended above his head.

He had expected it, but the timing was too perfect.

If he tried to behead the defenseless Allekuhi now, there was no way to evade or block the enormous black scythe.

The scythe’s attack perfectly countered Seo Do-jun’s intent.

‘Should I use the Eyes of Falsehood and the Trap of Immortality?’

With that, he could easily decapitate Allekuhi and remain unharmed.

But.

He couldn’t afford to reveal his trump card, which could only be used twice at most, so easily.

Especially since—

‘I can’t even sense where the archer is.’

Unlike the robed figure with glowing green eyes, the presence of the one who had fired the arrow was completely undetectable, even for Seo Do-jun.

Reluctant to waste his abilities, Seo Do-jun ultimately gave up on beheading Allekuhi and swiftly retreated.

‘He won’t be able to fight anymore anyway, so there’s no need to worry.’

They might meet again later, but for now, he didn’t need to be concerned.

‘Still, I can’t let him off so easily.’

Seo Do-jun swung his sword rapidly, aiming for the defenseless Allekuhi.

A pitch-black barrier formed, blocking all of Seo Do-jun’s sword energy.

‘Expected as much.’

Since the enemy had decided to protect Allekuhi, this much was predictable.

And Seo Do-jun, knowing that a single strike wouldn’t be enough to harm Allekuhi, had already mixed a second, stronger attack into the first.

Crack! Crack!

The black barrier shattered abruptly, and sword energy slipped through the gaps, ruthlessly slashing Allekuhi’s shoulders, abdomen, and thighs.

“Ugh!”

A pained groan escaped Allekuhi’s lips as his body lost balance and collapsed sideways.

His shoulders and thighs were pierced deeply enough to reveal bone, and his abdomen suffered a severe sword wound.

Despite this, Seo Do-jun’s expression was filled with regret.

Though the injuries looked serious, among Allekuhi’s allies, there were surely those who could easily heal such wounds.

His original intent had been to sever an arm or a leg, but after the barrier broke, hidden energy waves from somewhere twisted the trajectory of his sword energy.

Since he was the only one attacking while two were defending, Seo Do-jun couldn’t afford to linger on Allekuhi any longer.

To make matters worse, two Desperaohs lumbered over and encircled Allekuhi protectively.

Though they had been arguing earlier, this scene clearly showed they were on the same side.

With Allekuhi now out of his mind, Seo Do-jun turned his attention to the robed figure radiating thick, dark magic with glowing green eyes.

Even without asking, it was obvious—this was the dark mage who had summoned the Desperaohs and the extraordinary skeleton soldiers.

“You must be one of the Six Seats too?”

When Seo Do-jun spoke first, Luam glared at him with a murderous gaze before slowly responding.

“You’re well-informed. The ones you killed, Vampica and Gettis, were also Six Seats.”

Seo Do-jun nodded as if he had expected as much.

Including Allekuhi and the hidden Transcendent, he had now encountered all five of the Six Seats.

“It’s obvious, but this is a revenge plot, right?”

Though Luam didn’t answer, the killing intent in his eyes made Seo Do-jun smirk.

“Not like I can criticize revenge plots.”

After all, Seo Do-jun was in the middle of his own.

“You’re not from Earth, are you?”

“Does it seem that way?”

A Transcendent appearing on Earth, where only the lowest of humans survived?

That was absurd.

Transcendents were beings so rare that even among dozens—sometimes hundreds—of planets, only one might emerge.

Luam, who knew this well, couldn’t believe Seo Do-jun was a pure Earthling.

Though humans were known to adapt, evolve, and progress the most based on their environment, Earth’s conditions were far from capable of producing a Transcendent.

“Where I’m from doesn’t matter now. What matters is how you’ll die. And after you, Barhaut is next.”

“Shut your filthy mouth! A lowly wretch like you has no right to speak his name!”

“I didn’t realize thieves who barge into others’ homes and steal had such high status. But no matter how high your status, your actions are the most despicable.”

At Seo Do-jun’s calm retort, Luam clenched his fists unconsciously.

‘Not just cunning and petty, but also shrewd!’

Now he understood why Allekuhi had been so enraged.

Suppressing his anger, Luam spat out his words like venom.

“Enough!”

Rumble—!

An earthquake shook the ground as thousands of undead monsters emerged.

Only nine of Choi Kang-soo’s pillars of light remained.

Though Shinjo and Grichuk had been busy fending off the Desperados, several pillars had already been destroyed.

Moreover, four more had been shattered during Seo Do-jun’s earlier confrontation with Allekuhi.

Though only nine remained, the pillars still exerted a significant deterrent against the undead.

Of course, compared to before, Luam had now summoned far stronger undead, making their effect seem relatively minor.

“I’ll make sure you and your companions die here and remain trapped with me for eternity!”

In short, a declaration to turn Seo Do-jun and his group into undead.

“Dream big.”

Seo Do-jun raised his sword and swung it without hesitation.

Vandeyan Family Swordsmanship

Sixth Form: Esleshunepe Fluvia Trigono!

-A Rain of Triangular Stars Like Falling Meteors-

A massive pillar of magic shot into the sky before shattering into countless triangular stars that rained down.

Remarkably, whenever these stars passed near the pillars of light, they absorbed their holy energy, glowing brighter and striking with twice the power.

Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!

The bombardment of triangular stars.

Since they fell from the sky, Luam’s undead had no way to evade or block them—their bodies exploded and vanished on impact.

“…You bastard!”

Luam quickly raised a wide-area shield with his magic.

But even that couldn’t fully withstand the onslaught.

“As expected of Uncle!”

Choi Kang-soo cheered, clenching his fist in exhilaration.

Shinjo and Grichuk could only shake their heads in awe at Seo Do-jun’s overwhelming swordsmanship.

By the time the rain of stars ended, fewer than a hundred undead remained standing.

From the powerful Dragonbone Knights to Death Knights, Dullahans, and other high-tier undead—all had been wiped out in a single attack.

“…….”

Even Luam, who had never been so thoroughly overwhelmed, was left speechless.

His opponent was cunning, petty, shrewd, and now revealed overwhelming power.

Despite his strength, Seo Do-jun had lured and provoked Allekuhi, defeating him with minimal effort.

Luam couldn’t help but see him as the most dangerous foe they had ever faced aside Barhaut.

‘I must kill him! If left alive, he’ll become a major threat to Lord Barhaut!’

Determined to pour everything into this battle, Luam began summoning more undead.

Even for him, summoning an endless horde wasn’t possible—but since he had resolved to go all out, there was no reason to hold back.

Grrrrrr—!

As undead burst from the ground and tore through space, Choi Kang-soo couldn’t help but curse.

“Dammit! How long is this bastard gonna keep this up? Disgusting piece of shit!”

Seeing that Seo Do-jun had expended considerable energy, Choi Kang-soo stepped forward, raising his Divine Sword.

Shinjo also prepared to move in sync with Choi Kang-soo’s holy energy.

“All of you—disappear!”

Choi Kang-soo swung his blazing white sword horizontally, unleashing a wave of holy flames that swept across the battlefield.

Kwaaaa—!

Undead shrieked as they were obliterated upon contact.

Those that survived the initial wave were swiftly cut down by Shinjo’s lightning-fast strikes.

Watching his forces being annihilated, Luam’s fury boiled over.

These were humans who, individually, would have posed no threat—yet together, they were tearing through his army.

‘I’ll sever their limbs first…!’

Just as Luam prepared to cast a spell targeting Choi Kang-soo—

The surrounding magic distorted abruptly, and a dark void opened above him.

From it, a sword suddenly shot out.

Crash—!

Luam barely blocked it with a shield, but the sword’s power was extraordinary.

Cracks spread across the shield, forcing him to blink backward to evade.

‘It’s that bastard!’

Before he could locate his attacker, three more voids opened around him, swords shooting out from each.

Luam hastily layered multiple shields.

Clang—!

The swords stopped after piercing only a few layers.

Luam quickly scanned his surroundings—just as he expected, a knight in pitch-black armor stood before him, stabbing his sword into a void.

Grichuk’s unique attack, ignoring distance and space.

Even Luam had never seen such a technique before. But more than the method, he was fascinated by Grichuk himself.

Though fundamentally a Death Knight, he was different.

Even Luam, who could be called a master of undead, had never encountered such a unique specimen.

‘I must study him.’

A Death Knight with the caliber of a Transcendent—Luam’s scholarly curiosity and possessiveness flared.

‘If I could just have a few like him…’

What use were thousands of ordinary undead?

Even the rebellious Six Seats would become unnecessary.

They would be the perfect subordinates for Barhaut and himself.

Was this Death Knight also under Seo Do-jun’s control?

Luam couldn’t even begin to gauge the limits of Seo Do-jun’s abilities.

‘Maybe I can persuade him to serve Lord Barhaut…’

But he quickly dismissed the thought.

The chance of Seo Do-jun swearing loyalty was slim, and even if he did, he’d likely become another Vipiens—uncontrollable.

Luam knew better than anyone that talent was useless if it couldn’t be controlled.

‘If I study that Death Knight, I can replicate him. Then… even that arrogant lizard will have to bow!’

Ultimately, Luam concluded that eliminating Seo Do-jun and his companions was the only solution.

But reality wasn’t so kind.

‘Damn it! Ratio! What are you waiting for?!’

No matter how many undead Luam summoned, he couldn’t handle Seo Do-jun’s group alone.

As their numbers dwindled and Seo Do-jun’s attacks intensified, Luam grew increasingly suspicious of Ratio, who remained hidden.

Unlike Vipiens, who openly defied Barhaut, or Vampica, who was rebellious, Ratio had never acted out—but she wasn’t proactive either.

‘Could she be betraying us?’

Despite the worsening situation, Ratio still hadn’t shown herself, making Luam anxious.

‘No, Ratio wouldn’t turn so easily. Surely…’

Luam tried to deny the possibility, but his patience was wearing thin.

Contrary to Luam’s suspicions, Ratio couldn’t move a muscle.

‘He’s looking for me…’

Ratio couldn’t take her eyes off Seo Do-jun.

With Choi Kang-soo, Shinjo, and Grichuk handling Luam and the undead, Seo Do-jun was now fully focused on finding Ratio.

Revealing herself to fight alongside Luam wasn’t a bad option, but Ratio wanted to land a decisive blow on Seo Do-jun.

Her instincts demanded it.

Seo Do-jun was dangerous—more than any enemy she’d faced before.

Every fiber of her being screamed not to reveal herself recklessly.

Seo Do-jun stood calmly, observing the battlefield as if rooted to the ground.

Even Ratio was taken aback by his composure.

But.

‘No matter what, he can’t find me.’

Ratio was certain Seo Do-jun couldn’t locate him—and indeed, despite searching every corner, Seo Do-jun found nothing.

‘Just how skilled is she to hide so perfectly?’

As his search proved futile, Seo Do-jun considered giving up.

‘She’ll come out eventually. I just need to watch for ambushes.’

Just as he was about to move—

“……!”

Three new overwhelming presences approached rapidly.

‘Transcendents!’

And all three of them were Transcendents.

‘What? There are more?’

Did Barhaut have other Transcendents besides the Six Seats?

Then again, the Himaid siblings had been Transcendents too, though not part of the Six Seats.

Seo Do-jun’s expression hardened as he turned—

The three Transcendents revealed themselves.

“Whoa~! Quite the mess here!”

Raten, one of Ophel’s Seven Apostles, whistled as he surveyed the ruined surroundings.

“Long time no see, skull-face.”

Qua waved cheerfully at Luam.
