SFRW-Chapter 84
by SbmjamCh. 84 Sword God From The Ruined World
The house I had been waiting for was finally completed.
The one basement level and three above-ground level house boasted such a sensational appearance that just looking at it made my jaw drop.
“How do you like it?”
Park Sung-wook’s voice carried pride.
Since he had been recommended by Hyun Joo-yeon, I had entrusted him with complete confidence.
The result far exceeded my expectations and was immensely satisfying.
“It’s nice.”
Though the short reply might sound insincere to some, the fact that I couldn’t take my eyes off the house made Park Sung-wook feel he had received a sufficient answer.
After spending several months together, he had come to understand my personality well.
Rather than spouting empty words, my honest way of expressing genuine feelings gave Park Sung-wook, who had met countless people, a sense of trust.
“I can confidently say this is the best house in South Korea.”
He wasn’t just saying that.
During the construction of my house, Park Sung-wook didn’t overlook even the slightest mistake.
From the perfectly executed foundation work—so meticulous it would make other builders cringe—to the highest-quality materials considering durability and environmental impact, along with the best craftsmen in the field.
From start to finish, Park Sung-wook had never put this much effort into building a single house before.
That’s why he could be confident.
Not just now, but for the next ten years, no one would build a better house than this.
Listening to Park Sung-wook, I felt like I had completed another task.
“Just promise me that Eun-young and Grandma can live safely and proudly in this house for the rest of their lives. I don’t even need the safest house in the world. Just make sure they can live in the safest house in South Korea. You can definitely do that much, right?”
The request Seo Do-jun had made as his soul vanished.
‘Seo Do-jun, this should be enough to fulfill that promise perfectly, right?’
Not just the house, but the surrounding area was now the safest place in the world.
“Starting tomorrow, the furniture and appliances will be delivered. If you can wait just two more days, you can move in.”
In response to Park Sung-wook’s words, I thanked him for his hard work.
Even though our relationship was technically based on payment, the work Park Sung-wook had done held value far beyond mere money, so I genuinely felt grateful to him.
Though the most perfect house had been completed, there were people who couldn’t simply rejoice at the news.
“Sniff… Waaahhh!”
“Don’t cry… don’t cry… don’t… cryyy!”
It was Ha-yoon and Eun-young.
Having lived in the same apartment and been as close as two halves of the world, Ha-yoon and Eun-young were deeply saddened by the fact that they would now have to live apart.
“Ha-yoon, I’ll come over to Eun-young’s house often, so stop crying.”
“See, Eun-young. Ha-yoon said she’ll visit often, so cheer up.”
The two cried so sorrowfully that Ha-yoon’s mom and I had to sweat buckets trying to console them.
“Will you come over every single day?”
“Yes! Mom! We’ll go over every single day, right?”
The sight of the two kids making promises with their tiny, adorable fingers had me shaking my head in defeat along with Ha-yoon’s mom.
And so, moving day arrived, and my family began their new life in the new house.
“Casserian?”
Eun-young’s eyes sparkled as she stared at Casserian, the guardian of the house.
Thanks to the thorough mental training I had given it, Casserian behaved like the gentlest bird in the world in front of Eun-young.
So much so that its tail feathers trembled subtly.
“Seri.”
“Seri?”
“Brother, can I call her Seri? Ha-yoon’s dog is named Seri too.”
Eun-young was treating Casserian, the Emperor of the Skies, on the same level as a neighborhood pet.
What did it matter what she called it?
I told her to do as she pleased, and Eun-young beamed as she approached Casserian and affectionately called it by its new name.
“Seri-yah.”
Though Casserian found it laughable that such a fragile child—who could die from a heart attack just from its aura—was petting it, under my terrifying gaze, Seri…
-Kwawoooooo.
…pushed its beak as close to Eun-young as possible, acting cute.
“Brother! Seri’s beak is super soft!”
Fortunately, Eun-young took an instant liking to Seri.
“Eun-young… I told you not to get too close.”
However, it seemed it would take some time for Grandma and Seri to grow close.
After moving in, the next few days passed in a blur.
From sorting out Eun-young’s school transfer to adjusting to life in the new house, everything required time to get used to. But the mix of unfamiliarity and excitement about living in a new environment made time fly by.
On top of that, Ha-yoon’s constant pleas to see Eun-young led to an early housewarming party, and before long, my house became the new playground for Eun-young and Ha-yoon.
“I’m really sorry for bothering you every day.”
Ha-yoon’s mom apologized to me sincerely.
For Ha-yoon, who lived in an apartment, Eun-young’s house with its spacious yard was even better than the apartment playground.
But the real reason Ha-yoon came over every day was, surprisingly, Seri.
Though Casserian still instilled fear and unease in most people, Eun-young and Ha-yoon felt none of that.
“Kyahaahaha!”
“Kyarururu!”
The sight of Eun-young and Ha-yoon using Casserian—lying flat on the ground with one wing stretched out—as a playground slide was nothing short of shocking.
Even Ha-yoon’s mom had been so startled when she first encountered Casserian that she thought her heart would stop.
But seeing how it acted cute under Eun-young’s touch and how even Ha-yoon treated it without hesitation, she had grown used to it by now.
Of course, she still felt a bit uneasy, but as long as I was around, she felt reasonably assured that nothing major would happen.
“Seeing Eun-young laugh so brightly is thanks to Ha-yoon. I should be the one thanking you.”
“I appreciate you thinking that way.”
Ha-yoon’s mom could only marvel at what good fortune her daughter had to form such a wonderful bond.
“I feel like we’re always imposing on you. Ha-yoon’s dad said he’d like to treat you to a meal sometime. Would that be alright?”
“I’d be happy to come whenever you invite me.”
At my answer, Ha-yoon’s mom began asking about my food preferences to figure out what to prepare.
Then, her phone rang.
“Excuse me.”
Ha-yoon’s mom answered the call, and soon, a very sibling-like conversation ensued.
Amidst it, I clearly heard my name mentioned.
When the rather loud call ended, Ha-yoon’s mom apologized, looking embarrassed.
“Your younger sibling?”
“Ah… yes. My younger brother.”
Ha-yoon’s mom sighed deeply as she answered.
“I wasn’t trying to eavesdrop. My hearing is just sharp, so I caught it. Why does your brother want to meet me?”
“Huh? Y-you heard that? I’m sorry. You can just ignore it.”
Ha-yoon’s mom shook her head vigorously, as if it was too embarrassing to explain.
But when I pressed for details, she finally began explaining the situation.
Ha-yoon’s mom’s name was Park Joo-hee, and her younger brother, Park Chul, was a famous domestic streamer on the world’s most popular video service platform.
“So, your brother wants to create a channel about me?”
“I told him it was nonsense, but when he found out Ha-yoon was friends with Eun-young, he started calling me multiple times a day… Please don’t mind him.”
“I think it’s a good idea.”
“…What?”
“I’d like to meet your brother. In fact, it might be better if he joins us the next time you invite me over.”
For Ha-yoon’s mom, who had assumed I would never agree, this unexpected answer left her stunned.
‘A streamer, huh…’
My gaze drifted toward Casserian, who had become Eun-young and Ha-yoon’s plaything.

A few days earlier.
“An observational variety show?”
At my question, Hyun Joo-yeon and Jung In-joo nodded simultaneously.
“You know the saying, ‘Seeing once is better than hearing a hundred times’? No matter how much we tell people Casserian is safe, hardly anyone will believe it unless they see it for themselves. But what if we show them through a broadcast?”
“They’ll become interested, familiarity will replace fear, and people will overcome their terror of Casserian! Who knows? Casserian might even become a national mascot!”
Jung In-joo chimed in to support Hyun Joo-yeon’s words.
Even now, articles about Casserian frequently appeared online.
From riding Casserian from Guam to Canada.
It had proven itself by hunting countless monsters while obeying me perfectly, yet many citizens still feared it simply because it was a monster.
Of course, I couldn’t blame them.
No matter how much someone claimed a lion or tiger was tame, would anyone feel safe living next door to such beasts?
And Casserian was a colossal Boss Monster that could fly through the skies.
No matter how much we insisted it was safe, people would only see it as an object of fear.
That’s why the Hero Association and the government came up with the idea of fostering familiarity through TV broadcasts.
The problem was…
“No.”
“Why not?”
“Who would like having camera crews wandering around their house for filming?”
I wasn’t a celebrity who thrived on public attention, so this was absolutely out of the question.
Besides, staged filming outside of daily life wouldn’t help much, so the observational variety show idea fizzled out.
Still, I agreed that people’s fear of Casserian needed to be reduced.
That’s when I became interested in Park Chul, Ha-yoon’s mom’s younger brother.
These days, many people watch online videos more than TV, and compared to TV productions, far fewer people would need to enter the house. Plus, since he was a streamer, I wouldn’t have to appear on broadcasts myself.
‘Or maybe we could just film these moments separately and upload them as videos.’
Just showing Casserian—a Boss Monster—acting as a playground for two kids would surely shock people.

“Hello! I’m Park Chul, Ha-yoon’s uncle! It’s an incredible honor to meet you!”
Park Chul extended a trembling hand for a handshake, making his sister Park Joo-hee sigh deeply in embarrassment.
“I’m Seo Do-jun.”
“P-please speak casually!”
Though Park Chul was three years older, what did age matter?
To him, Seo Do-jun was nothing less than a ‘King’.
What had started as a curiosity during middle school had turned into a full-time streaming career, and Park Chul proudly claimed he made a decent living from it.
Of course, his family—including his sister Park Joo-hee—worried endlessly about when he’d finally grow up and get a proper job.
But with over ten years of streaming experience, Park Chul immediately grasped what I wanted and quickly formulated a plan in his head.
“I understand exactly what you mean! You want to turn Casserian into a national pet monster, right?”
The term ‘pet monster’ made me chuckle.
Seeing me laugh at his words, Park Chul grew even more excited and began pouring out ideas from start to finish.
From my perspective, many of his suggestions were far more useful than I had expected.
Unable to bear Park Chul’s endless enthusiasm, Park Joo-hee finally cut him off.
“Stop talking and eat. Because of you, Hero Seo Do-jun hasn’t even had a proper meal.”
“Ah… I’m sorry!”
Park Chul bowed his head and fell silent.
Dinner was enjoyable.
Park Joo-hee was an excellent cook, so all the dishes suited my taste, and her husband—Ha-yoon’s dad—was kind and gentle, making conversation effortless.
Add to that Park Chul’s slightly cheeky but cheerful personality.
Despite dining with strangers, I had a pleasant evening.
“I’ll prepare a detailed proposal and visit you again! And… thank you once more! As the head of the Seo Do-jun channel, I swear I’ll grow it into the best channel in the world!”
Park Chul was overjoyed that I had allowed him to rename his channel after me.
Naturally, since I had granted him exclusive rights to all content and likeness related to me, the channel’s rapid growth was inevitable.
But to achieve that, the first project—’Making Casserian a National Pet Monster’—had to succeed.
“I’ll be counting on you.”
At my reply, Park Chul responded with such exaggerated devotion that Park Joo-hee had to scold him.
